What we keep, and why
Ranked Ball has no accounts and uses no cookies. We keep nothing that tells us who you are.

Who is responsible
Ranked Ball is responsible for the data described on this page. For anything about it, write to hello@playrankedball.com.
On your device
Your browser remembers a few things so you do not have to set them again. They stay on your device, and you can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data.
- Your guest name. The players in your party and your match see it.
- Your invite code, while the game is invite-only.
- Whether you have finished a match before, so we can count how many players come back. Only the count reaches us.
- Your sound and display settings.
While you play
- Your IP address, which every website receives, connects you to the game and limits how many connections one address can open at once. We do not store it. The companies that host the game may keep it briefly in their standard request logs, for security.
- Your guest name and your moves are used to play the match, and nothing about them is kept once it ends.
- How your connection behaved, such as your ping and frame rate, is sent at the end of each match without your name, so we can make the game play better.
Counting visits
We count how many people visit and play, never who they are.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views, the site that sent you, your country, your type of device and browser, and how fast the page loaded. It uses no cookies and does not follow you across sites.
- Our own counts are totals only: visits, whether they came from an invite link, and matches finished.
Error reports
When something breaks, a technical report goes to Sentry, so we can fix it: the error, the page, and your browser and system. It carries no name, no cookies and nothing you typed, and your IP address is not stored with it.
Who else handles it
Cloudflare (which delivers the website and counts visits), Sentry (error reports) and the companies that host the game handle this data only on our behalf, and only for the purposes above. Some of them are based outside your country. Where data leaves the EU, it is protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We never sell data, and we show no ads.
Why we may use it
To run the game you asked to play, and because we have a legitimate interest in keeping it secure, fixing what breaks and knowing whether people enjoy it. None of it is used to make decisions about you.
Your rights
Since we do not know who you are, there is usually nothing about you to look up. You can still ask what we hold, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it, by writing to hello@playrankedball.com. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Changes
When accounts arrive, this page will change to say what they keep, and the date above will change with it.
