What we ask, and what you can expect

Ranked Ball is free to play, with or without an account. These terms are short because the game is simple: play fair, choose a name you can stand behind, and we keep the game running as well as we can. Playing means you accept them.

The game

Ranked Ball is free. There are no ads, nothing to buy and nothing to unlock. You can play everything as a guest. An account adds a name that is yours alone and a record of your matches. What we keep about you, and why, is on the privacy page.

Your account

• You must be at least 13, or the age at which you can use online services on your own in your country if that is higher. Anyone can play as a guest.
• One account per person. Keep your password to yourself: whatever is done with your account counts as done by you.
• You can delete your account at any time from Manage account. The matches you played stay, without your name, as the privacy page explains.

Your name

Other players see your name. It must not pass you off as someone else, a team or the people who make the game, and it must not be offensive. We may rename or remove an account whose name breaks this, with or without warning; the check that refuses some names as you type them is not the last word.

Fair play

• Play the game as it is. No cheats, no programs that play for you, no altered versions of the game.
• Play the match out. No disconnecting on purpose, throwing matches or walking out on your team to spoil it for the others.
• Treat other players decently. No harassment, no abuse, nothing that would get you sent off a real pitch.

We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules, and remove its record. We would rather not have to.

Your record

Goals and assists are credited by a fixed rule at the moment of the goal, not by hand, and are not changed afterwards. When the rules of the game or of the stats change, your record may be recomputed or reset; we say so before it happens.

Availability

We keep the game running as well as we can, but it may be down, change or end at any time. Nothing is paid, so nothing is refunded. The game is provided as it is, and as far as the law allows we are not responsible for a match lost to a bad connection, a record that goes missing, or anything else that follows from playing.
